Summary: P.W. Rose advertised that he caught a slave woman near Houston and requested the owner to come pick her up and pay charges.
Taken up on the 20th September, 1839 at my house on Bray's Bayou, five miles from Houston, on the Brazoria road, said negro is a woman, tall, slim built, says she belongs to A. Kleson in San Felipe, her owner will please call, prove her, pay charges, and take her away. P W ROSE
