"Two Runaway Negroes," Telegraph and Texas Register, July 1, 1837
Summary: An ad by Jacob Duckworth saying he captured two runaways. Gave the slaves' names, heights, clothes they wore, etc. Also stressed that both did not speak English and seemed to be brothers.
HAVE been taken into custody by the subscriber. One is about five feet seven inches high, and when taken had on casinett pantaloons, no coat or jacket. The other is about five feet five inches high; had on when taken coarse white duck pantaloons, calls himself WILL: the other ITALIA. They speak no English, and appear to be brothers.
