"Plantation at Private Sale," Telegraph and Texas Register, January 12, 1839

Summary: Ad for a 3,000 acre plantation for sale. Most of the land is uncultivated but it comes with a cotton gin, four slaves, and livestock.


A splendid plantation of three thousand acres, three hundred and fifty of which, are under fence, and two hundred and fifty under cultivation. Also a first rate cotton gin and mill, dwelling house, corn cribs, negro cabins, and four negro men, one about fifty years old, one thirty-five, one twenty-five, and one nineteen: also, a fine stock of cattle, hogs and horses. Two-thirds of the above land is such cane brake, well watered and in a healthy situation. Terms liberal. Apply to HEDENBURG & VEDDER,
