GALVESTON March 22. 1844.
The Undersigned Her Britannic Majesty's Charge' d' Affaires to the Republic of Texas has the honor to request that the Government of Texas will be pleased to issue a Warrant enabling Commander Francis Scott of Her Majesty's Sloop "Hyacinth" about to be employed on the North American and West India Station to act under the treaty between Great Britain and Texas for the suppression of the Slave Trade
He avails himself of this occasion to renew to Mr. Jones the expressions of regard and distinguished consideration with which he has the honor to remain
