Joshua Fletcher to James F. Perry, March 6, 1834

Summary: Fletcher agreed to allow Perry to sell a 14 year old mulatto slave girl named Chaney to anyone who would purchase her.


Know whomsoever it may concern that I Joshua Fletcher of the Jurisdicion[sic] of Austin do herein empower James F Perry of the Jurisdiction of Brazoria to Sell and dispose of a certain mulatto girl named Chaney about 14 years old and to make full and valid title signing my name ther'to and in all respects manner form convey all my title right and possesion to her to whomsoever purchases as if I were myself present--binding all my heirs and successors to observe same Sale as if done with my own hand in all and every form called for
