"Untitled," Civilian and Galveston Gazette, December 21, 1842

Summary: Reprinted a statement from an Eastern newspaper insulting Texans and declaring its opposition to annexation.


We see in a published lecture in one of the "Down East" papers the following sentence:--

"I've heard tell that the Texicans have got two rows of teeth, and tails like a monkey, and will send their slaves to Congress: so I detest agin[sic] the bringing Texas into this country.
