"$100 Reward," Telegraph and Texas Register, April 21, 1838
Summary: An ad offering a reward for a runaway. Gave the slave's name, age, weight, and last location. Also said he was active, spoke English, and had beautiful teeth.
AND all reasonable charges will be given for the apprehension of a Negro man DUDLEY. Said negro was brought to Texas by Wm. Reeser, and by him sold to the subscriber. He ranaway[sic] from the neighborhood of New Year's creek in November last. Dudly is twenty-three years of age, spare built, well made, and will weigh about 150 lbs.. is remarkably active, talks fluently and has a beautiful set of teeth.
